Lac d’orient is lovely but the water is quite full of grass/weed- so if you don’t like squelching under your feet, get water shoes! I saw plenty of people on paddle boards so bought mine from Decathlon in Troyes which is a 25 minute drive. Was about 33.50£ per ticket which is okay. But there is a large supermarket called Eleclerc near buy that sells the whole shebang for 200£!! In summary, I would definitely come back to this site if I was in the area again but would probably try and stay towards the beginning of the season or the end when it was less busy. Great pool with slides and play areas. Le camping Le Lac dOrient offre un complexe aquatique qui ravira petits et grands ! The beach is stoney so it really bent out beach tent pegs!

The more or less shaded pitches are provided with modern facilities. A fantastic location at a distance of 200 metres from the lake. Prices are provided by our partners for one room, with variable occupancy rules as provided by the property, and reflect nightly room rates, including all taxes and fees known to our partners. There are no tolls from the campsite to Troyes though thankfully cause we made daily trips there! There are lovely walks all around to take in the views. We were based by the the toilet/washing up area towards the back of the campsite. Are there any historical sites close to Camping Le Lac d'Orient?Many travellers enjoy visiting Château de Vaux (9.7 miles) and Usine Protte Tracteur Vendeuvre (5.7 miles). The shop was slightly expensive but cheaper that the bar area on site. You cant stop this I know. There are lots to do on site for children and the pool areas were always packed (we didnt bother) and there was lots of laughter. Campsite Lac d’Orient cordially welcomes you to the Champagne region!
